A walking option to discuss when planning a day around Çavuşin.

Güllüdere is included in GoTürkiye’s Cappadocia walking and regional-route suggestions. It can be a focus of its own walk, rather than automatically being combined with neighbouring valleys in one long outing.
A route through Güllüdere
Start: Çavuşin village. Finish: Kızılçukur. The Ahiler Development Agency’s Discover Cappadocia route leads from Çavuşin past Haçlı Kilise (Church of the Cross), through Güllüdere and on to Kızılçukur. It is a one-way route: agree on the exact pickup point before setting off.
From Göreme, the Avanos-bound dolmuş stops in central Çavuşin; the village stop is not the trail entrance, so check the walk to your chosen starting point locally. Arrange a taxi or other pickup at the Kızılçukur end; a direct dolmuş to the trailhead has not been confirmed.
There are several paths and connections between the valleys. Discover Cappadocia’s hiking list gives this Çavuşin–Haçlı Kilise–Güllüdere–Kızılçukur route as approximately 4.78 km. It does not specify a duration, so check an up-to-date route map and allow plenty of daylight. Uneven ground, climbs and junctions can make the walk demanding; consider a local guide if you are unsure of the way.

Plan your walk
Choose a specific route before setting out. If you want to continue towards Red Valley, ask for the actual connection and finish location. Leave enough daylight for the walking portion instead of using sunset as your starting time.
Getting to and from your walk
The central Çavuşin dolmuş stop can help with travel to the village. It is not confirmation of a stop at your chosen trail entrance. Agree the transfer or walk between the village and the trailhead locally.
