How to get around Cappadocia by dolmuş
Find the right direction, understand where you need to change and plan your next stop. A dolmuş is a shared local minibus.

Ürgüp to Avanos: the sightseeing route
This line connects the following places in this order towards Avanos. The dolmuş stops in Göreme, Çavuşin and Avanos are in their town or village centres.

The Ürgüp-to-Avanos service departs once an hour, on the hour, from its starting point. These are departure times, not exact passing times at every intermediate stop. Check your stop’s expected passing time locally; the first and last departures for this line are not listed here.
From Göreme Open-Air Museum to your next stop
From Göreme Open-Air Museum, take the dolmuş coming from Ürgüp and heading towards Avanos to continue to Göreme, Çavuşin, Paşabağ or Zelve Open-Air Museum. Confirm your destination with the driver before boarding. A taxi is another option.
For Üç Güzeller or Ürgüp from Göreme, board the Ürgüp-bound dolmuş coming from Avanos at the stop by the Göreme Open-Air Museum junction in central Göreme. Tell the driver your destination and confirm the passing time locally.
Göreme and Uçhisar
From Göreme to Uçhisar, dolmuş departures are every 30 minutes between 07:30 and 18:00, for example 13:00, 13:30 and 14:00.
To return from Uçhisar to Göreme, use a dolmuş arriving from Nevşehir and continuing towards Göreme or Avanos. Confirm with the driver that it stops in Göreme before boarding. The Göreme departure times above are not a timetable for the return direction.
Kaymaklı and Derinkuyu: change in Nevşehir
Start at Göreme terminal and take a dolmuş to Nevşehir centre. In Nevşehir, change to a dolmuş serving your chosen destination: Kaymaklı or Derinkuyu. Confirm the correct connection and return arrangements locally. This is a journey with a change, not a direct dolmuş from Göreme.
Ihlara Valley from Göreme
There is no direct dolmuş from Göreme to Ihlara Valley. Plan a taxi/private vehicle, rental-car journey or a daily tour whose confirmed itinerary includes Ihlara. This guide does not give an unverified connecting public-transport route.
Before boarding
- Say your destination to the driver and confirm the direction.
- For intermediate stops, ask about passing times rather than relying on the starting-point departure time.
- Check the last return or connecting departure before beginning your visit.

Taxi journeys starting in Göreme
For a taxi pickup from your Göreme hotel, the terminal or another agreed point in town, you can contact Göreme Taxi ↗. It offers journeys from Göreme to nearby sights and the airports. Fares use the taxi meter; ask directly for a current estimate.
Pickup is offered only in Göreme. This is not an airport-arrival pickup service, and pickups from other towns or valley exits are not offered. If your journey starts elsewhere, arrange a suitable provider for that starting point.

Devrent: taxi or Red Tour
No dolmuş passes Devrent. Choose a taxi or a Red Tour whose confirmed itinerary includes the valley, and arrange the return or onward journey before your visit. The Ürgüp–Avanos line serves Üç Güzeller but does not serve Devrent.
